Marion North Mentoring Awards

Marion North Mentoring Awards

Tramway is partnering with the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund (BBFC) for the next Marion North Mentoring Awards and we are very pleased to announce Anna, YDance Artistic Director, will sit on the panel.

The Marion North Mentoring Awards are part of The Bonnies awards and give new and emerging choreographers the opportunity to gain invaluable advice, support and feedback from established choreographers or dance artists.

The scheme consists of pairing a choreographer with a chosen mentor to overcome artistic challenges or other career hurdles.  Awards for the mentoring of up to £1000 are made annually to two choreographers working in any style. The awards from this partnership with Tramway will be available to choreographers based in Scotland. Once chosen the BBFC and Tramway to facilitate the mentorship and to provide associated advice and assistance.

Selection will be by application. Applicants need to email a CV and a statement of no more than 500 words before noon on 16 November 2015. Your statement should include what benefit you would gain from the award and what type of person you would want as a mentor. You can also include a supporting letter from a third party although this is not a requirement.  You can also send pictures but I’m afraid we cannot accept video.  Selected candidates will then meet the panel, including Marc Brew, Roanne Dods, Anna Kenrick andTim Nunn to discuss their application further.

Candidates must be available to meet the panel on either 29 or 30 November at Tramway, Glasgow.

Please make sure you include a telephone number in your application. If you have any queries please email Tim Nunn at the email address below.
