Inclusive Dance Training Sessions

As part of the Moving Forward project, CPD sessions are available for teachers, youth workers, carers or dance artists who works in participatory settings to build their skills and enable them to integrate youth dance provision in their local communities.

Would you like to increase your skills and expertise in working with young people with disabilities?

Taught by YDance and Indepen-dance staff who specialise in inclusive practice, the FREE inclusive training sessions will be fun, creative and informative, offering various ways to engage and inspire all young people. Participants will gain skills, ideas and confidence in facilitating an inclusive dance session, including games, warm-ups, movement and creative tasks. No experience is necessary. Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing they can move freely in.

Training sessions will take place in North Ayrshire on Thursday 8th March, 2018 and in Stornoway on Wednesday 11th April, 2018. For more information on how to book, please visit our Moving Forward project page.

Moving Forward is a new, two-year dance and disability project. Run by YDance and Indepen-dance, the project aims to provide FREE regular dance activity for disabled young people in North Ayrshire, the Western Isles, Falkirk and North Lanarkshire.The project is supported by the Scottish Government Get Scotland Dancing Legacy 2014 Fund.
