Based on the themes of Kathleen Fidler's popular children's novel, The Desperate Journey tells the story of a family forced out of their home by the Highland Clearances.

The CD-ROM provides an excellent range of subject matter, from life in the Highlands - where traditional dance can be explored - to movement inspired by the sounds of the sea and the cotton mill machines in Glasgow.
