We have a number of off the shelf workshop packages that will help your young people achieve the outcomes and experiences of the Curriculum For Excellence. These cover a range of subjects and can be tailored to suit your needs. Of course if you have a specific theme or want to explore interdisciplinary studies then we will be delighted to create a programme just for you.
This workshop is an excellent way for young people to explore the weather. Participants take part in a range of tasks and exercises through which they can development their imagination and creativity, their team building skills and their movement memory.
The Toy Box
Lower Primary
This is a fun workshop which allows lower primary aged children to develop a range of skills in a really fun way. Participants have the opportunity to work independently, in pairs and as part of a group and to explore a range of different movements using parts of their whole body.
Magnets & Springs
Upper Primary
An excellent opportunity to explore this science topic in an active and creative way. Participants have the opportunity to look at aspects of attraction and repulsion and the different ways that springs respond.
Chance Dance
Upper Primary/Secondary
This workshop programme is designed to ecourage participants to explore and devise a range of challenging and non-habitual ways - developing their movement vocabulary and working towards the creation of an abstract dance piece.
Alice in Urbanland
Upper Primary/Secondary
This week long performance project allows participants to work and perform with a team of professional dance tutors and involves costumes and props. At the end of the week the group will have created a dance work they can share with pupils, teachers, family and friends.
Risk Taking
Secondary
This workshop asks why young people are drawn to danger; why they risk their freedom, their bodies, their minds and their futures? It also explores the basics of choreography and how a Choreographer/Director creates a performance from an initial idea(s).
Half Day Session
£100 (with one YDance Tutor for a maximum of 3 hours)
Full Day Session
£200 (with one YDance Tutor for a maximum of 5 hours)
